Job Description

Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN Wound Care Nurse. The ideal Wound Care Nurse will share our heartfelt approach to caring for the adult residents of our community. Responsible for: • Recommending and implementing preventative interventions to prevent skin breakdown for immobile and inactive residents in accordance with state and federal regulations. • Completing Wound Rounds with MD and Care Plans. • Monitors and completes in-service as needed on dressing changes, new wound care equiptment and changes in orders for each resident.

This opening is for Saturday and Sunday, shift 7am-3:30pm. 

Job Requirements

• Preferred candidates must be motivated, compassionate, and professional. • Previous experience working in a Long Term Care nursing facility is desirable. • Must be able to supervise and instruct others. • Must have the ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies. • Must be able to work on an on-call rotation schedule. • Must be licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse. • Positive attitude toward the elderly a must.
