Job Description

To perform direct care duties under the supervision of Administrator and to assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Personal Care Functions, Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, preparation for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care and positioning in and out of beds, chairs, etc. Performs patient related activities directed throughout the shift including assisting with lifts of patients to mats, tilt tables, & wheelchairs, assists patients in transfer activities, assists patients in dining & removing appliances, and guards patients in ambulation.

This opening is for Weekdays and/or Alternating Weekends, shift 3 PM - 11 PM. 

Job Requirements

  • Must be a Medication Aide in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state certification requirements or training to satisfactory complete the requirements or in training to satisfactory complete the requirements to become a CNA, DCA, Medication Aide in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of high school or GED equivalent or otherwise show the ability to read and write and follow oral commands in English
  • Previous experience or completion of an appropriate training course
  • Positive attitude toward elderly
  • Must be eligible for clearance through abuse registry and Department of Law enforcement.
  • Must be CPR & First Aide certified.
