An Avante Associate Recruiter works closely with the Corporate Recruiter to source, screen and recommend prospective employees for employment in professional and managerial positions. They will source candidates via the internet and other Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) sites. Work with executive search firms, placement agencies and internet RPO sites to develop and grow a highly qualified candidate pool.  Place ads, attend job fairs, and coordinate in-house recruitment efforts.

Essential Job Functions: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Corporate Recruiter to ensure alignment of company image and recruitment branding;
  • Initially, recruit and fill positions of high importance/urgency, such as:
    o Those specified by Avante's management;
    o Those currently utilizing contract labor.
  • Identify and develop specific recruiting efforts to fill gaps in the succession planning process;
  • Negotiate and maintain competitive third-party vendor permanent placement contracts; 
  • Negotiate and maintain third-party travel vendors to ensure Avante is getting the best rates available;
  • Assist the Corporate Recruiter in training managers on successful interviewing and selection skills;
  • Manage the Employee Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Position Requisition processes;
  • Continual monitoring of candidate flow in ATS for all assigned requisitions;
  • Source ATS, CareerBuilder, internet, and other sources for potential candidates;
  • Training of Avante Field Management Teams on ATS;
  • Measure recruitment resources to determine those that provide the best Return on Investment (ROI) and revise/restructure as necessary;
  • Meet with current managers to research and assess the inadequacies of past recruitment efforts in order to identify and execute the very best future practices;
  • Must be able to maintain constant and high phone volume to potential candidates;
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers;
  • Screening and assist in interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications;
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; and, comparing qualifications to job requirements;
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

This opening is for Mon - Fri, shift 8:30 AM - 5 PM. 

Job Requirements


  • Core behavioral competencies must include: Listening, Organizing, Time Management, Perseverance, Written Communications, Presentation Skills, Interpersonal Savvy, Negotiating, Confidentiality, Flexibility, Integrity and Trust;
  • Must have minimum Education and Experience requirements outline below;
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age;
  • Must speak and have ability to write and take instructions in English;
  • Computer skills must include:  Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Application Tracking System, as well as internet navigation skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or two (2) years of related Long-Term Care Operations or Staffing/Recruitment experience.
